Hurricane Sandy made landfall Thursday in southern Cuba as a Category 2 storm. Sandy will begin to affect the Southeast U.S. coast
Friday.
The system’s wind field is expected to become larger with time, and
will lead to high surf, rip currents, gusty winds and heavy rain along
parts of the Southeast U.S. coast into the weekend. Eventually, the
Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic could see significant impacts from Sandy
by early next week. Preparation is paramount.
